Los Angeles Cycle Chic Meets Bike By The Sea

SoCalCCBloggersMeet

I got to meet Christa from Bike By The Sea last week. It was a real treat. We talked for hours about bikes and cycling and Cycle Chic. I have not really ever had a conversation of any length about bikes where I usually agree with what the other person was saying. I love the internet and that it has given me the opportunity to meet cool cyclist bloggers like Christa. I am planning at this point to make a trip down to San Diego to go for a ride with her and the Red Carpet Riders (who I have to say have a super cool name) for a social ride on Saturday. Hopefully being a parent won't interfere as it sometimes can. I am hoping that H1N1 stays away from our house for at least 2 more weeks.

We also met Robert and Thistle while we were having coffee. Unfortunately I missed getting a shot of Thistle riding in her little trailer. I was just too slow on the draw with the camera. Too much great conversation.

  2. It was so nice to meet you, Cosmo! You are such a pioneer and inspiration.

I'm especially impressed with your passion for Los Angeles. Your knowledge and dedication to bicycle advocacy is impressive.

Looking forward to seeing you on the Red Carpet Ride!

  3. Mikael, I am so flattered that you came to my blog!

Christa, you have years more of cycling knowledge than I have. I have crammed everything I possibly can about cycling into my brain in the few short months since I've started this blog after finding blogs like yours and Mikaels and Dottie and Trish's.

  4. 'Xander, I am trying to figure out a way to make a trip to Toronto to shrink the world even more.

  5. Seriously can't wait for that Rodeo Drive ride.

It's going to be big, and I will be there for sure.

  6. Being a parent should not reduce your bike-riding options! My kids have literally been brought up on bicycles and they are doing just fine. In fact, my seven year old son already has a distinct dislike for being in cars - it makes him feel sick.

I tried to post a picture of my two kids on my bike (one in the front, one on the back) but my link got filtered out....

  7. Zvi, it is not that being a parent interferes with bike riding, but more with getting places I want to be and on time without tons of fuss. It is just as difficult to do things by car since my little ones arrival 3 1/2 years ago.
