Hey, we saw you riding on 7th street around 1 pm, with the baby in a front sling. My wife had considered doing that with our newborn (now 2 months old), but decided it would be a little too anxiety-inducing. I meant to buy a bike trailer, but didn't get to it in time for CicLAvia, so we were pushing as stroller today.

Joseph - I had thought I would be worried as well, but after the first 5 minutes I was totally fine. She was just not into the bakfiets and was crying. She slept the entire time in the sling unless she needed to eat or a diaper change. With no cars there wasn't anything to worry about. I ride slow on a step through upright bike.
